The third day in Jakarta started with an onarrival seminary. Program began at 08:00 and was supposed to last until 18:00. First they explained us everything about Darmasiswa, what are the rules, how can we extend our VISA etc. We also met with our providers from universities, they should take us to the city, show us where we will live and pay us out the scholarship. My provider is a 28years old girl and for indonesian she is quite proactive and punctual...unfortunately! Im in a group with 3 people from Uzbekistan and 2 from Thailand. None of them speaks good english.
Honza´s group has about 9 vietnamies and one guy from Madagascar. Their english is very bad aswell. The vietnamies are very excited about Honza, I guess it is because he is very tall. Every time they see him they yell and want to have pictures with him. Im starting to be jealous. They sometimes call him Honda instead of Honza :)
We didnt attend the whole seminar, because it was quite boring and we didnt get much practical information there. Here u have to search for information otherwise you know nothing and you can miss lunch or departure. We spent our afternoon by the hotel pool, swimming and sleeping. In the evening we went out with indonesians we have met the previouse day in coffee Batavia. They took us for a dinner to Evere fresh. It is a fishmarket together with restaurant. You choose your fish and they prepare it for you. It was fresh and delicious. When we returned to our hotel, we stayed by the main entrance and drunk some beer. Its funny to see so many people sitting on the ground in front of 5* hotel drinking beer.
The next day we had more or less free. Morning we slept quite long and than we went for a walk and to the pool again. The walk was short, it couldnt be longer because the pollution outside is terrible and it is very hot. In the evening we had an opening ceremony with traditional dance and people from ministery of education had speeches. Ambassadors from Slovakia, Poland and Norway attended the ceremony aswell. Czech one was unfortunately missing.
In the evening I got an information that we are going to fly to Malang. Flying company is called Lion airs and is on the black list of EU. It means that because of safety they are not allowed to fly to Europe. In ten years they have had ''only" one fatal accident and than every year some smaller one (bad landing or taking off). When i got this information I started to be really hysterical. I said i would rather go alone 20 hours by train. Of course that I took the plane and landed safely in Malang the next day. Now Im looking forward to get the present Honza promised me If I fly :)
In Malang they took us to the university campus where we will stay for a week. The room is quite nice and clean. I share room with thai girl called Sunita, she doesnt speak english. On friday I will probably go to visit Csilla to Surabaya or she will visit me( 2 hours journey by bus). After that I will find a hotel where I will stay until Honza will pick me up here next friday and take me to Semarang. I got pretty bad cold from this hot outside and freezing AC inside, so Im staying in a bed and trying to get better.y to
